Faith In Action
The Saint Gilbert Catholic School curriculum includes religious instruction, prayer and worship, and service opportunities. Our Catholic identity is present in all of our daily activities.
Weekly Mass
Students attend Mass weekly on Wednesdays. Weekly all school Masses are prepared for and lead by our students serving as readers, gift bearers, and altar servers. Our younger students participate with assistance from their prayer buddies. Students also take part in traditional Catholic devotions throughout the year. Families and friends are always welcome to join us.
Sacramental Preparation
Students at Saint Gilbert Catholic School prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion in second grade. Preparation and participation is coordinated with the Saint Gilbert Parish Religious Education Program. First Reconciliation is in November and First Communion is in April/May.
High School Sophomores are eligible to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Additional information regarding preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation may be found on our Saint Gilbert Parish website.
Service
Saint Gilbert Catholic School students live out their faith by being of service to others. Students in preschool through 8th grade participate in school-wide service opportunities, open to friends and families, throughout the school year. They recognize that each and every one of them has the power to make a difference.
